Manitoba's nearly 3,000 members of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba congratulate the 97 successful candidates of the 2014 Uniform Evaluation. Candidates who pass the Uniform Evaluation are eligible to receive their CA designation when they have completed their periods of experience with approved training offices.

Manitoba candidates Zachary Robert and Jennifer Solman, both from Deloitte LLP, placed among the 51 students who were named to the National Honour Roll. Zach and Jennifer will receive a cash prize and CA Award of Excellence from the Manitoba Chartered Accountants Foundation at the Convocation exercises to be held on January 31, 2015 at the RBC Convention Centre. Congratulations to Zach and Jennifer on this significant achievement!

CASB Region and National Results

In the CASB region 1,342 candidates were successful while across the country, 3,576 new CAs will be entering the profession. In 2013, Manitoba had 96 successful candidates; CASB’s count was 1,077 and across Canada successful students numbered 3,030.

“This year, we have 1,342 successful UFE writers in western Canada. We congratulate them on this accomplishment, and recognize the hard work that they have invested to master the skills and competencies that we expect of new professional accountants. They represent the bright future of the profession, and we wish them all the best as they progress in their careers,” said J. Scott Palmer, CPA, FCA, ICD, Interim CEO of the CPA Western School of Business.
