Brian Anderson, CA, is a tax director with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Winnipeg and has lectured for ICAM in both Student Education and Professional Development for many years. His teaching experience and easy delivery style are highly rated by participants of his seminars.

Maria Antaya has many years of experience as an educator in a variety of subjects including business communication. She has also led numerous program and course development projects. Along with her training and course development work, Marie has shared her expertise with clients in private, non-profit and public sector organizations. Using her combined experiences, Marie delivers informative, practical workshops tailored to the audience's needs. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree as well as certificates in Teaching English as a Second Language and Workshop Facilitation.

Tim Beauchamp, CMA, is the Director of the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB). He assigns and provides oversight to the PSAB's research, technical and administrative activities. Tim has been directly involved in standard setting for the public sector for over 15 years.

Ward Blatch, BComm, CA, MCSA, is Senior Associate with K2 Enterprises Canada. Ward also has his own practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He provides accounting firms with information technology support and training.

Carolyn Cohen, CA, MSW, is a Training and Human Resources Consultant who works with organizations in areas of employee relations, performance management systems, leadership assessment and development programs and employee retention. She has designed and delivered many workshops on human resources topics and management skills training. As a result of her experience as a CA and teaching for Canada’s Provincial CA Institutes, she is able to keep up to date with the struggles and challenges in the accounting world.

Lisa Dorian, CA, CPA, CIA has extensive experience in internal audit, compliance methodologies, business process development, budgeting and enterprise risk management (ERM) and ERM implementation. Lisa has worked with private and public companies, not for profit organizations, all levels of government and within the financial services industry providing services related to internal audit and corporate governance, conducting quality assessment reviews, and coordinating the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks. She is also an accomplished trainer and facilitator.

Adrian Frost, LLB, focuses in his practice in the areas of labour and employment law. He acts as counsel and provides advice on all aspects of employment and collective bargaining relationships, including employment agreements and employee manuals, terminations and wrongful dismissals, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining and collective agreement administration and proceedings before labour boards and human rights tribunals.

Larry Frostiak, FCA, CFP, TEP, is a founding partner of Frostiak & Leslie Chartered Accountants Inc. His practice focuses on tax planning and advisory services for privately-owned businesses as well as trust, estate and business succession planning. Larry is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and serves as Worldwide Treasurer. Larry also co-authored, with John E. S. Poyser, LLB, the third edition of Practitioner's Guide to Trusts, Estates and Trust Returns 2006 - 2007, published by Thomson Carswell.

Geoffrey A. Garland, CA, is a Senior Tax Manager with BDO Dunwoody LLP in Winnipeg. He is involved with personal and corporate tax preparation and planning, corporate reorganizations and dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency. He has presented both in-house and external seminars on a number of tax related topics, as well as lectured at the University of Manitoba and tutored for the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.

Laurence Ginsberg, MBA, FCA, CFP, is the founder of GinsOrg International Inc. and has been providing strategic management services, business advisory services, and mentoring services to innovative and high growth clients for over twenty years. Larry has been the Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at the Schulich School of Business, York University since 1994 and a part time lecturer in Entrepreneurial Studies, Family Business and Strategic Management since 1982. He currently facilitates The Master Strategist program and CFO Leadership program for ICAO. Larry is the co-author of four best selling books. He also wrote a weekly column dealing with issues affecting entrepreneurs for the Globe and Mail. He has appeared on various radio and television programs.

John Granelli, CA, writes and lectures frequently on income tax and sales tax matters and has presented numerous sessions for The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba.

Kenneth W. Grower, BA, FCA, TEP, is the Senior Tax Partner of BDO Dunwoody LLP in Manitoba. Ken oversees the tax compliance and planning work for the firm. Ken is an accomplished speaker who presents a large number of tax-related seminars. He is a Past Governor of The Canadian Tax Foundation and was one of the lecturers of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course - "Income Tax Practice" for 8 years. Ken has presented tax courses for the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Institutes for several years.

Gary Hannaford, FCA, is CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Ontario in 1975 and became a member of the Manitoba Institute in 1995. Gary was elected a Fellow of the Ontario Institute in 1985 and the Manitoba Institute in 2000. He is often invited to speak to a number of groups on the topic of good governance and has made presentations to Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs and other business groups on the MB Check-Up report which is published annually by ICAM.

Stuart Hartley FCA, CA•IT, is the President of FocusROI Inc., a specialized consulting firm that provides value to professionals through, training, authoring, monitoring, risk management and internal auditing services. Stuart is the author of the CICA Professional Engagement Manual, the CICA Quality Assurance Manual and “Risk Management, primer for Directors of not for profit organizations”. He is a sought after speaker and has written many articles.

Brian Janzen, CA, is a senior tax manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Winnipeg, specializing in the area of Canadian tax planning for individuals and corporations. Brian has taught a number of courses for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba, and also has been a CICA in-depth tax course tutor for a number of years.

John Jazwinski, CA, is a Vice President and Director in the Financial Advisory practise at Deloitte. Over the last ten years he has advised companies on mergers, acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings and valuations. John developed and leads the financial modeling training program at Deloitte in Canada. He is also a lead instructor for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Corporate Finance qualification program.

John F. Kelly, FCA, is a partner with Scarrow & Donald in Winnipeg. John's clients include public companies, owner-managed enterprises and not-for-profit associations. He was a member of the Auditing Standards Board for four years and was Chair of its Western Section.

Maureen Kennedy has over 25 years of combined experience as a professional speaker, workshop facilitator, business consultant, and educator. Maureen has earned a reputation for offering insights and practical strategies that people can use immediately to achieve their communication goals. Maureen has earned her Professional Designation with the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and is a member of the International Federation for Professional Speakers.

Laurel Kidder is the founder of "What's Next?..for your business", a professional business coaching service in Winnipeg. Laurel is Winnipeg's first Kolbe Certified consultant. With over 15 years of experience in coaching, Laurel assists clients in creating and implementing solutions that are rooted in intelligence and integrity that, simultaneously, build the team's trust in their instincts.

Denise Lammi, CA, has been professionally involved with income tax matters for over 25 years. She specializes in Canadian income taxation with an emphasis on all matters relevant to owner-manager businesses. She lectures extensively on income tax matters while authoring and mentoring numerous taxation related professional development courses and seminars.

Travis Leppky, CA•CISA, is a partner in BDO Canada LLP’s National Assurance group. He was a member of the CICA’s Audit & Assurance Standards Board (AASB) during the adoption of the Canadian Auditing Standards (CASs). He has also been a member of several CICA Task Forces. He currently chairs the CICA Derivative Reporting Task Force. Travis is a former executive member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Winnipeg Chapter. Travis is sought after as a speaker and guest lecturer.

Arun K. Mathur, CA, is a partner in Gerald Duthie & Co. LLP Chartered Accountants, in charge of the firm's Mississauga office. He assists clients with business acquisitions - negotiating transaction terms, structuring business ventures, arranging financing, performing due diligence and setting up reporting systems. He He has teaching experience with University of Windsor, Ryerson Polytechnic University, University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College.

Sean C. Marek, CA, is a partner with M Group Chartered Accountants LLP in Winnipeg. He is also a lecturer for the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Institutes and is currently the designated lecturer for Financial Instruments for Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He has lectured for the I.H. Asper School of Business at both the undergraduate and graduate level and for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba since 1996.

Victor Neufeld, CA, CA•IFA, CFE,has investigated many different types of matters, including:Fraud and secret commissions; Money-laundering and other proceeds of crime matters; Areas of potential economic crime, fraud and corruption; and, Regulatory reviews of provincial and federal matters. Dean Schinkel CA, CBV, is a Senior Manager with the Financial Advisory Group of Deloitte & Touche LLP in Winnipeg. Alexander (Sandy) Stedman, CA, is a partner with Schibli Stedman King in Victoria. Prior to returning to public practice, he was the corporate controller for a group of privately held companies. His practice includes accounting and tax advice for groups of privately held companies and their shareholders.

Garrett Wasny, MA, CMC, CITP is an award-winning speaker, professional development consultant, author, columnist, video producer and motion graphics artist in Vancouver, Canada (and former Price Waterhouse management consultant in Winnipeg).
