The PROPOSED BYLAW REVISIONS FOR 2004 will be voted on at the Institute's Annual General Meeting on June 10, 2004.
  • FIRST BYLAW OF 2004

    Explanatory Note:
Bylaw 328 is amended to provide that a 50% reduction of annual membership fees is available to those members who are providing full-time care to a dependant and whose income from employment does not exceed a threshold of 15 times annual membership fees. Previously, eligibility was limited by the age of the dependant and the income threshold was set at 10 times annual dues.

  • SECOND BYLAW OF 2004

    Explanatory Note:
Council Interpretations 204/20 to 28 are deleted and replaced with amended Council Interpretations 204/20 to 28.

The amendments, of a housekeeping nature, are required to implement the necessary revisions as a consequence of changes to the Canada Elections Act. The new Act introduced audit requirements for "registered associations", leadership contestants" and "nomination contestants" and updated provisions related to eligibility requirements for auditors.
