Consultations on Proposed Changes to CA Experience Requirements
In June, the Manitoba Council approved, in principle, the expansion of practical experience requirements for CA qualification. These proposed changes are intended to expand CA training opportunities while maintaining the profession's high standards.
These proposed changes will allow CA firms to create training positions in taxation, business advisory services, and other areas in addition to audit and assurance and will also allow carefully selected corporations and government departments to be recognized as CA Training Offices.
Member consultation on the proposed changes is now underway. Over the next several weeks, we will be explaining the proposed new requirements and seeking your feedback at our upcoming Town Hall meetings across the province. Please see schedule of the Town Hall meetings below.
