Everyone has difficulty from time to time coping with stress. Up to 25% of CAs have problems that impact job performance.
The CA Assistance Program is designed to assist members whose professional competence is affected by drug or drinking problems, emotional difficulties, family disruption, financial difficulties or any other related problems.
Committee members will put CAs in touch with people who have the skills and experience to help them when they need it most.
As it relates to this area, members of the assistance program are exempt from 211, Duty to Report Breach of Rules of Professional Conduct.
This program is designed to be preventative not punitive, to provide alternatives and to help alleviate problems. Participation is voluntary.
Strict confidentiality is maintained at all times.
A list of members of CA Assistance Committee is available upon request from the Institute.
Members of the assistance program can be contacted directly by the individual, a friend, family, colleague, staff or any other concerned person. |
