The profession has established professional practice standards, rules of professional conduct, and bylaws and regulations to govern its members. The Institute has a duty to investigate all written complaints received about its members and students.
Anyone may lodge a complaint with ICAM regarding the conduct of a CA or a CA student. This may involve competency issues or failure to comply with the ethical requirements of the rules of professional conduct.
The Institute does NOT:
- provide a fee dispute mediation service. We encourage anyone with such complaints or concerns to resolve the matter directly with the member involved.
- have the power to order restitution or damages to third parties
Complaints must be submitted in writing and should contain a summary of all problems or issues. Supporting documentation may be submitted at the same time or at a later date.
